The Primary Program
The School provides a three-year program for 6 – 12 year olds, which operates five days a week (Monday to Friday) from 8.30 am to 3.15 pm. Afterschool Care is available at our Lavender Bay campus on Monday to Friday afternoons, to 6:00 pm (bookings through the school office).
Acceptance into the class is subject to the availability of places and the child having previously attended an accredited Montessori preprimary.
Entering Cameragal Montessori School means a commitment to its six-year program.
About Cameragal Montessori Primary
Cameragal Montessori Primary School opened in January 2013.
It is held in the St Peter’s Hall in North Sydney. Built in 1864, this beautiful, heritage stone hall was originally built as a Presbyterian schoolhouse. It is now wonderfully refurbished to accommodate a class of 30 students and is home to our 6-9-year-olds. We are thrilled to open our 9-12 year-old program in the School’s Master Residence The Cottage next door in Term 1 2020.
Cameragal Primary School is within a three-minute walk of the Tiddalicks Preprimary and North Sydney train station.
Its’ North Sydney CBD location with iconic views of Sydney Harbour is beautifully juxtaposed by surrounding heritage churches and artist-inspired gardens with secret paths and surprising expanses of grassed parkland that make up the quiet and secluded residential area that is Lavender Bay.
Tree-lined streets take the children to nearby Watt, Clark, and Blues Point parks where book reading, sports, play and lunch are regularly enjoyed in the dappled shade.
